ICATS Training

ICATS Training

Industrial Coating Applicator Training Scheme (ICATS) is a comprehensive structured training scheme for the registration, training and certification of industrial surface preparation and coating operatives.

Hy Spec Services have an in-house ICATS Trainer, meaning we are able to offer ICATS Training to those in the industry.

Industrial coatings applicators play an important role in the maintenance and protection of infrastructure from deterioration. The role involves preparing and the application of coatings to new and existing structures. This role is important to preserve structures and to reduce costs from wasted paint and materials, and rework due to coating failure and defects.

Many organisations require ICATS qualifications to undertake work on site, including Network Rail, Highways England, Transport Scotland and many others.
